The Director of Songhai Centre, Professor Godfrey Nzamujo has said that if sustainable and integrated agriculture is embraced in Nigeria, it can become a weapon of mass construction.
The Professor made this assertion during his Key note presentation at the ongoing Feed Nigeria Summit holding at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.
According to the Professor “sustainable and integrated agriculture should be seen as a prime driver in any authentic development process”.
“As you can see, if it’s well done, Agriculture could become a weapon of mass construction we should therefore see Agriculture as a serious business in Nation building” he said
He urged all citizens to get involved in agriculture as it remains the roadmap to viable and sustainable development in Africa.
“Like Churchill said during the Second World War, I would say that Agriculture is such a serious business that should not be left only in the hands of Agronomists, Agro-economists, and Bankers. We should all be involved” He added
